Rockridge Pony Farm has raised quality ponies for 48 years and recently
Carl was determined to combine the Peppy San line with 3-Bars.  Six years ago
his dream was realized when a mare he had spent three years trying to breed
with semen from a genetically engineered Quarter Horse called Call to Honor
from Eastern Iowa resulted in a leopard colt which he named Ausome Bars.  This
stallion has given us some of the nicest babies with the Peppy San personality
and the distinction of being 3
-Bars bred with confirmation and willingness to
please.

Sadly Carl  passed away in 2010 and his herd of mares has been cut down to  3.
Peppy San mares and Ausome Bars will have fewer colts each year.  However ,
thanks to my children and grandchildren I still have these ponies and will try to
keep Carl's dream alive for children that need broke, willing ponies to ride and
show.

Our website now shows a page devoted to Carl and our sale page will show you
broke ponies currently for sale.
Thank you for checking us out.
Kris Sand and I sold this
well broke high selling
gelding to the Intl. Sale in
2010.  He  brought $5600.
This young lady will use
him for therapy riding in
Ohio.

Forgive the switch to black and white, but in order to tell our story, we need to show
you what the POA has meant to our family in the past 45 years.  This picture comes
from 1968 and shows our first eight children mounted on their ponies for the annual
Christmas Card.  From right to left you see Susan and Jim on M & M's Little Topper,
Mike and John on Johnnie Charm, Kathy and Kris on Otaki,  Dan on Pepper, and Tom
on Mudcat.  These youngsters rode daily, did chores, went to shows and spent many
happy hours with their ponies. It was a way of life that provided a close family unit that
still exists today.  Click onto our family album.  It tells more of the story.
