Welcome to Rockridge Pony Farm!
We are located between Granite Falls and Montevideo, MN on
Hwy 212. For 45 years, we have been raising quality ponies for
show, trail, and arena competition. Our main goal is to raise
ponies trustworthy for children of all ages.
Our family of nine children have all ridden and shown our POA's.
Now that they have grown and have families of their own, we
continue to raise these wonderful ponies and enjoy our
relationships with people in the industry. Carl is in the POA Hall
of Fame and has been active in sales, shows and was on the
Board of Directors during the early conception of the Pony of
America Registry.
POA Ponies measure
46 to 56 inches at the
withers. They are a
using pony for youth
with the temperament of
a big horse. More
information on POAs

Forgive the switch to black and white, but in order to tell our story, we need to show you what the
POA has meant to our family in the past 45 years. This picture comes from 1968 and shows our
first eight children mounted on their ponies for the annual Christmas Card. From right to left you
see Susan and Jim on M & M's Little Topper, Mike and John on Johnnie Charm, Kathy and Kris on
Otaki, Dan on Pepper, and Tom on Mudcat. These youngsters rode daily, did chores, went to
shows and spent many happy hours with their ponies. It was a way of life that provided a close
family unit that still exists today. Click onto our family album. It tells more of the story.
